What to expect on Sunday Mornings?

Midtown’s Children’s Ministry meets on Sunday mornings during the worship service and serves infants 9 months and up through 5th graders. We are located in the Preschool Building, which is the center building on the Ridge Road Baptist Church campus.

Infants 9 months through 3-year-olds may be checked in before the service. Children who are 4-years-old through 5th grade are dismissed to Children’s Ministry after the doxology. Children are also welcome to remain in the service with their parents.

For your family’s security, Midtown utilizes the Church Center app and corresponding printed name labels in the check-in and check-out processes. In addition, our volunteers have been Midtown members for at least 6 months and have had background checks.

Check in Procedure

Before checking in your child:

Download our Church Center app HERE
Create profiles for you and your child(ren), including your child(ren)’s birthday and grade.
Please label diaper bags, sippy cups, and loose diapers.

Checking in:

VISITORS:
Please complete the check-in form on the classroom clipboard. You & your child(ren) will have matching wristbands that include a unique wristband number for secure check out after the service.

MEMBERS & REGULAR ATTENDERS:
Please check in your ACORN & SUNSHINE children BEFORE the service in the Preschool Building at their Classroom Door using your Church Center app or our iPads located in the hallway. Their classes start at the beginning of the service.

Please check in your Squirrels, Oaks, and Midtown Kids BEFORE the service on your Church Center app or on the iPad in the Sanctuary Foyer. These children will be dismissed after the Doxology and escorted to their classrooms by their teachers.

Enter the last 4 digits of your phone number on the Midtown Community Center iPad.
Select the child(ren) you are checking in, as well as the parent at the bottom of the screen
A Name Label will print for each child, please attach this to your child(ren)
One Security Label for each family will print after the Name Label(s). The parent who will pick up the child(ren) should wear this Security Label.

Checking out

Show parent’s Security Label to the teacher.
Teachers must match parent’s Security Label to the child(ren)’s Printed Label.
Initial the sign-out box on the classroom clipboard.
Volunteers may only release children to parents who present the matching Security Band
