Lindsey Williams

Head Pastor
E-mail Lindsey Williams

Lindsey is a native of Raleigh, and has always been in love with his hometown. The son of a local politician, university professor (Go Pack!), and deacon in a downtown Baptist Church, he has always had one foot in Old South spirituality and the other in New South progressivism. It was at UNC that he met his wife, Kara Whiteside from Rocky Mount. After working for IBM in the Research Triangle Park for a couple of years, he sensed a call to pastoral ministry. He moved to Charlotte, where he received his Masters of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary. After seminary, he served as an Associate Pastor at Uptown Church in Charlotte for 5 years, where he focused on outreach, mercy ministry, small groups, and pastoral care. After seeing the impact of church planting in the Charlotte area, and assisting in the oversight of two church plants, he became convinced that there is no better way to advance the kingdom of God than through church planting. His love for the urban context, commitment to seeing the kingdom of God expand through a local body of believers, and the unswerving belief that “there’s no place like home” have led him back to Raleigh. Lindsey & Kara have been happily married since 1998, and have 3 children-Austin (2004), Marion (2005), and Ann Lauren (2009).

You can find Lindsey on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

A special thank you to Baley Reeves, a Midtowner and the creative mind behind 715 West Photography for taking our staff pictures!
