Preparing For Worship
Leading up to Sunday, October 29
Both our passage and our first song of worship this week point to suffering and how to live in light of God’s resurrection power. Contemplate the passage and the words to All The Poor and Powerless in light of Isaiah 57:15.
For thus says the One who is high and lifted up,
who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy;
“I dwell in the high and holy place,
and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit,
to revive the spirit of the lowly,
and to revive the heart of the contrite.”
The Lord God lives both in the high and holy place and here among the poor and powerless. And He can and will revive the heart of those who know their need of Him. Let us pray that we will be expectant and submit our hearts to his revival.
