This is our entire online worship service for Sunday, August 2, 2020. Feel free to follow along by using our online bulletin (click “Download PDF” under the video).
What do horror movies reveal about us? Interestingly, Daniel 7 gives us a picture of “Christian horror”. But more than that it gives us a window into how God enters into the scary realities that we face on a daily basis. Join us as we look at one of the most enigmatic sections of the Old Testament.
This is getting out of control!! We all feel it and the story of Daniel and the Lions’ Den may be of help to us. In this famous story we get to see how to respond to an out-of-control world in a way that might make a difference in our life and the lives of those around us.
With all the unrest of the past three months, we might be inclined to think that God is judging our nation. But what if he’s actually doing something else? Join us as we look at a passage in Daniel 4 where a kingdom is being destroyed, but there is more going on than meets the eye.
Our world is broken and sinful. That much is clear. But what are the underlying motivations that drive all the bad decisions we make? This passage helps us diagnose those underlying motivations and ultimately find a path to freedom. Join us as we study the famous story of 3 men, how they escape execution, and give us a picture of something we all want.
Anxiety is at pandemic levels in our society. Daniel 2 shows us the symptoms of anxiety in the life of a king. But it also shows us a man who rises above the anxiety around him. Join us as we look at how to transition from restless to restful even when life is unrelenting.
How do we respond when the world we want is not the world that was assigned to us? Join us as we start a new sermon series on the Old Testament book of Daniel about living courageously in turbulent times.
Luke 24 gives us a picture of people hiding in the shadows of a scary world. Yet the resurrected Jesus changes everything, and gives these same people a fresh set of eyes to enter that same world with a very different mindset.
We all have a lot of unanswered questions right now. How does Jesus speak into those questions? John 21:20-25 is a moment where Jesus speaks into Peter’s questioning heart and offers us a way to follow him in the midst of our unknowns.
The resurrection is not only about restoring a relationship with Jesus, but restoring our purpose in this world. But what does that look like? Join us as we explore how the gospel moves in our lives so that we can we move differently in this world.
